Opting for cremation as a simple choice for disposition means that it can be easily facilitated by planning with the funeral home online and by phone. Families can conduct all arrangements for a funeral without ever needing to visit the funeral home. Online cremation options enable the family to make choices from clearly marked selections – choosing a cremation package, selecting an urn and writing an obituary can all be done without the need to go to the funeral home. The online arrangement option means that you can calmly and more objectively work through the arrangement details and make decisions from the comfort of your own home.
In most cases planning a cremation service online can be done in three easy steps.
#1 Select what type of cremation package you are looking for and what cremation merchandise you may require, such as a cremation casket or urns and any additional copies of death certificates you may need. Fees for the cremation services selected must be paid online using a credit card.
#2 Next, you will need to submit the necessary personal information about the deceased in order for the funeral home to file the death certificate, notify social security and obtain the necessary authorization and permits to conduct the cremation.
#3 We will send you all necessary paperwork, you will be asked to complete a ‘Cremation Authorization Form’ and any other documents required to complete cremation services. All documents will be sent to you via e-mail for online signatures; a copy of a State ID is required to be returned with documents to verify identity. These forms must be completed by the legal next of kin, and the person thereby authorized to make funeral arrangements.
Once you have completed the online selections and submitted the information, a funeral director will contact you to finalize the arrangements and answer any questions you may have.
