Wilma Jean Parker

July 17, 1939 - June 19, 2022

Wilma Jean (Geffs) Parker, 82, of Portage, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022 to walk with her Lord. She was born on July 17, 1939, at the family home in Martinsville, Illinois. She is survived by her children; daughter, Debra (Joseph) Rothenberger; sons, David (Mitzi) Parker and Ronald (Cecille) Parker; grandchildren, Jessica Parker, Eric Parker, John Juniga, Jason Rothenberger, Matthew Parker, Brett Parker, Kara Rothenberger, Quenzle Parker, Brook Parker and Mark Parker; sisters, Doris (Dick) Whyde, Velma Mae (William) Bramell, and Phyllis (Charles) Baker. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Frankie Parker; her parents, Homer and Dorothy (Cox) Geffs; brothers, Dean Geffs, Rex Geffs and Dale Geffs, and sister, Betty (Geffs) Shaffner. Shortly after graduating from Casey High School, Wilma married Frankie and served as a Navy wife and loving mother for many years. After raising her three children, Wilma worked at Gore Realty where she started as a secretary/bookkeeper and went on to earn her Realtor's license, letting her happily help families find their perfect home. She had also worked as a recess monitor at Jones Elementary School in Portage, while raising her family. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 6941 Central Ave, Portage, IN 46368. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Heritage Cemetery in Portage, Indiana.
