Mary Jane Frahm

Mary Jane Anne (Middleborn) Frahm, age 97 of Portage, IN passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 in Hobart, IN. She was born on August 13, 1924 in Blue Island, IL to Paul and Clara (Sellien) Middleborn. Mary Jane is survived by her daughters, Linda Haggert, Bonnie (Ed) Meyer; granddaughter, Krista (Mark) Lucken; grandson, Tom Haggert; great-grandsons, Jackson Lucken, Joe Lucken; great-nieces, Connie Pine, Marla Dressler; great-nephew, Ron Taylor. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Middleborn; mother, Clara Middleborn; husband, Duane "Bud" Frahm; sister, Alice Rohlman; niece, Donna Taylor; great nephew, Bob Taylor; son-in-law, Ross Haggert. Mary Jane graduated from Thornton Township High School Class of 1942. She met the love of her life, Bud, when she was 16 years old and they married in April of 1944 in Corsicana, TX while Bud was serving in the military. They lived the 42 years they were married in Riverdale, IL and built a family together. Mary Jane loved to travel and she visited 49 states, all but North Dakota. She loved spending time at her cottage in Coldwater, MI. Mary Jane was a huge Mickey Mouse fan and an avid player of games. She had a remarkable 97 years on the planet. She will truly be missed. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 11:00 am at the 1st United Methodist Church of Portage, 2637 McCool Rd., Portage, IN 46368 with Pastor Michael Lawson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at the church. Memorial donations in Mary Jane's honor may be made to the 1st United Methodist Church of Portage.
