Lucia Bouchain de Tovar, age 83 of Portage, IN passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 in Portage, IN. She was born on July 6, 1937 in Mexico City, Mexico to Gumaro Bouchain Genis and Maria de Jesus Reyes Bouchain. Lucia is survived by her husband Armando Tovar, daughters, Monica (Israel) Torres and Carmen Tovar; son, Armando (Martina) Tovar Jr.; brother, Marcial Bouchain; grandchildren, Armandina Torres, Cristina Torres and Nicolas Tovar. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jorge Bouchain, Gustavo Bouchain, Antonio Bouchain and sister, Elvira Bouchain; father, Gumaro Bouchain Genis and mother, Maria de Jesus Reyes Bouchain. Lucia was married to her loving husband Armando for 65 years. She immigrated to the United States from Mexico on February 22, 1960 and left this world exactly 61 years later on February 22, 2021. Lucia was an expert seamstress, tailor and barber. She was a strong Wonder Women who helped raise her grandchildren and she will be deeply missed by all. Memorial Service Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 8, 2021 at Nativity of Our Savior Parish, 2949 Willowcreek Road, Portage, IN 46368. A Memorial Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM at Nativity Of Our Savior Parish until the time of Service. The family would like to remind everyone to please follow the CDC/COVID-19 Safety Health Guidelines and wear a mask and follow social distancing whenever possible.
