Letha G. Williams

Letha G. (Gilbert) Williams, age 88 of Portage, IN passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022. She was born on February 19, 1934 in Blackwater, KY to Mitchell and Edna (Cottongim) Gilbert. Letha is survived by son, Jerald (Priscilla) Henry; daughter, Robyn Zimmerman; brother, Junior Gilbert; sisters, Linda Griffin, JoAnne (Russ) Marshall; grandchildren, Joshua Henry, Anna Aimutis, Gabrielle Del Real, Allison Henry, Natalie and Cody Zimmerman, Cassandra Andersen, Jerry Jr. and Jacob Henry; and 10 great grandchildren; and many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Williams; son, Raymond R. Henry, III; mother, Edna Gilbert; father, Mitchell Gilbert; brother, Ralph Gilbert; sister, Debbie Masterson. Letha enjoyed going to church. She went to church every Sunday morning and Wednesday evening. Letha was an active member of Grace Baptist Church in Portage for over 40 years. From being a Sunday School teacher to singing in the choir, she adored the people and the church. Letha loved Jesus even more. Her loyalty for God was amazing. Her faithfulness to God was so pure and graceful. She loved her family with all of her heart and soul. Letha enjoyed time with her grandchildren as well as her great grandchildren. She loved them intensely. Letha loved shopping and dressing up. She always had to have her makeup done and her hair perfect. Letha was the most loving and trusting person, may she rest in peace in paradise. A Celebration of Letha's life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Grace Baptist Church, 5785 Mullberry Ave, Portage, IN 46368.
