Judith Ann (Myers) Kouvakas Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Judith Ann (Myers) Kouvakas, age 75 of Chesterton, IN passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, November 4, 2021 in Munster, IN. She was born on August 22, 1946 in Gary, IN to Jack and Doris (Lemmons) Myers. Judith is survived by her husband, Spiro J. Kouvakas; daughter, Stacy (Delaney) Campbell; son, John Kouvakas; sister, Vicky DeVries; grandchildren, Brandon Kouvakas, Abigail Campbell, Delaney M. Campbell and Isabella Campbell; brother-in-law, Steve Fansler; sister-in-law, Katherine Cuevas and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Myers; mother, Doris Myers; brother, Jack Myers and sister, Pat Fansler. Judy had several different career paths. She enjoyed her time working at the Lake Central School Corporation in the cafeteria. She worked in the computer field for many years and even ran a computer related company with her husband and son. Judy finished out her time working at U.S. Family Medical Center as an Assistant. Above all, she relished being a wife and mother. Judy loved playing dice with her daughter, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and sister. She also enjoyed going to the casino and playing the slots. Judy loved all animals and truly missed her bird, Charlie and her dog, Molly. Judy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 7:00 pm at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN 46368. A Memorial Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the time of service at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
