Jerry Alexander Parrish Sr., age 77 of Portage, IN passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022. He was born on October 20, 1944 in Dyersburg, TN to Robert Brown and Ora Dean Parrish. Jerry is survived by three sons, Jerry Parrish Jr., Aaron Parrish, Justin Dean Parrish Sr.; daughter, Aris Parrish; four brothers, Robert Parrish, Robert D. (Geraldine) Brown, Dr. James A. (Semaj) Brown, Harold B. (Pamela) Brown; sister, Linda (Carl) Jamison; aunt, Loretta Dunivant; seven granddaughters, Manisha Parrish, Ki'Yonna Parrish, Victoria Exum, Jerrica Parrish, Marissa Parrish, Maeve Parrish, Jaylah Parrish; three grandsons, Jordan Parrish, Jeremic Parrish, Justin Dean Parrish Jr.; and whole host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and aunties and uncles. He was preceded in death by wife, Angela Parrish; father, Robert Brown; mother, Ora Dean Parrish; step-mother, Willie Lucille Brown; two Brothers, Tommie Parrish, Reginald Brown. Jerry graduated from Bruce High School in Dyersburg, TN. He worked for J.B. Hunt for over 20 years. Jerry loved his family and enjoyed cooking. Funeral Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Avenue, Portage, IN 46368. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage, IN. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
