George Leverne Pontius Jr., age 59 of Indianapolis, IN passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021 in Indianapolis, IN. He was born on February 14, 1962 in Newport News, VA to George and Eva (Spear) Pontius-Harlan. George is survived by his siblings, Dianna (Jerry) Bain, Charles (Terri) Harlan, Donalee Pontius-Graber, Jeanette (Randy) Harlan-Phillips and Ernest (Marianna) Harlan; many nieces and nephews and his furbabies, Jingles and Goldie. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Pontius-Harlan; father, George Pontius, Sr. and step-father, Charles Harlan Sr. George was a United States Navy Veteran. He enjoyed NASCAR and fishing. Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11:00 am at McCool Cemetery, 2700 McCool Rd., Portage, IN 46368.
