Dama Clo-Etta South Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Dama Clo-Etta South went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 2, 2021. She was 76. Dama was born on May 21, 1945 in Hammond, Indiana to William and Donna Sheppard. She is survived by her loving husband Oliver; sons Richard (Paula), Dan (Sissy), Oliver (Melinda); daughters Tammy (Mark) Taylor, Donna (Timothy) Perry; sister Virginia (Kirk) Dapshis; 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents William "Roy" and Donna Sheppard, siblings Betty, Phyllis, Don, Brenda, Russ and Marshall. Dama was married to Oliver on June 22, 1962 in Hammond Indiana. They moved to Valparaiso, Indiana in 1964 where Dama lovingly raised her 5 children. Dama shared 59 years in marriage with the love of her life, Oliver. She was an amazing cook, an avid gardener and enjoyed camping. She had a great sense of humor, loved to read, do puzzles, listen to music and watch movies. Most of all, she loved Jesus Christ and her family. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN 46368.
