Christopher W. Wuerthele, age 55 of Chesterton, IN passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 in Valparaiso, IN. He was born on March 21, 1965 in Gary, IN to Edwin and Sandra (Stasik) Wuerthele. Christopher is survived by his daughter, Ashley Wuerthele; brother, Brian (June) Wuerthele; granddaughter, Kendra Ivey; niece, Cassandra Wuerthele and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Kimberly Wuerthele. Christopher enjoyed working on cars, carpentry, and especially loved animals and nature. He loved spending time with his family and friends and was known as a jokester. Christopher would do anything for anybody and would help anyone who needed it. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and uncle and will be deeply missed. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 12:00 pm at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN 46304 with Pastor G. Thomas Jones officiating. Burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2020 from 10:00 am until time of service at 12:00 pm.
