Antonia (Gallardo) Lugo

Antonia (Gallardo) Lugo, age 77 of Portage, IN passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022. She was born on April 29, 1944 in Santurce, Puerto Rico to Faustino and Elena (Gonzalez) Gallardo. Toni is survived by two sons, Stephen J. (Amy) Lugo, David (Elizabeth) Lugo; three daughters, Angela (Gary) Lewis, Tiana Lugo, Tina (Charlie) Jones; three brothers, Raul (Julie) Gallardo, Benjamin (Geri) Gallardo, Robert (Sue) Gallardo; sister, Linda Gallardo; cousin, Esther Gonzalez; three granddaughters, Angel (Austin) Smith, Cassie Lugo, Elena Lugo; three grandsons, Ethan Lugo, Charlie Jones, Jr., Maxwell Santos; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elena and Faustino Gallardo; her husband, Crispulo Lugo, Jr.; her first husband, Carmelo Calderon, Sr.; two brothers, Isaiah Gallardo, Antonio Gallardo; sister, Abby Gallardo; grandparents, Emiliano Torres and Perfecta Baez; and uncle, Ismael Torres. Toni graduated from Tolleston High School, class of 1963. She was a dedicated elementary and Sunday school teacher. Toni was loved by many, a faithful friend, and a loving mother who was dedicated to her family. She was a devoted Christian and a member of the Disciples of Christ. Funeral Ceremony will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 10:00 am at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Avenue, Portage, IN 46368 with Pastor Juaquin Rodriguez officiating.
