Anthony "Tony" Joseph Ballor

Anthony "Tony" Joseph Ballor, age 42 of Portage, IN passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. He was born on May 24, 1979 in Mount Clemens, MI to Anthony and Debbie (Garcia) Ballor . Anthony is survived by his mother Debbie Ballor; daughter, Amelia J. Ballor; brother, Paul (Keitha) Ballor. He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony John Ballor.; brother, Glenn Ballor. Anthony started his first business at 19 years old. Over the course of the past six years he and his partner built Crossroads Steel Supply. He was an avid marathon runner, participating in the Chicago Marathon several times, and the Tokyo Marathon. Anthony was a motorcycle enthusiast. He loved boating and the water. His passion was for loving and caring for his daughter, Amelia. She was his princess. When she was born, everything came second to Anthony. He always gave all he had in everything that he did. It was not enough just to do something, he strived to always excel. Anthony was not satisfied until he had given his best. His last fight was no different from anything else he did in life. Anthony gave it his all. He will now rest in his reward and Anthony's determination and zest for life will be an inspiration to those left behind. While his race was too short, he ran it beautifully. Anthony will be forever missed. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 10:00 am at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Avenue, Portage, IN 46368 with Father Jon Plavcan officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anthony's honor may be made to Mercy Home, 1140 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, IL 60607.
